The Israel Meteorological Service on Sunday warned of extreme dry weather conditions and the risk of wildfires, later in the week.
The warnings come after fires spread in the Jerusalem hills last Wednesday, prompting evacuations of thousands from their homes and the closure of main highways, including Highway One, connecting Jerusalem to the coast.
Meteorologists warned of the risk of wildfires after a shortage of rainfall over the winter.
