Meteorologists warn wildfires, in week begining with risk of floods

Dry weather conditions are expected in the later part of the week and into the weekend; Sunday and Monday forecast calls for rain in most regions, with a flood warning in the east

The Israel Meteorological Service on Sunday warned of extreme dry weather conditions and the risk of wildfires, later in the week.
The warnings come after fires spread in the Jerusalem hills last Wednesday, prompting evacuations of thousands from their homes and the closure of main highways, including Highway One, connecting Jerusalem to the coast.
