The Israeli government has launched a global outreach initiative to Jewish communities abroad, seeking direct input on how to encourage immigration to Israel amid rising antisemitism worldwide.
The effort follows a special ministerial meeting held Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, focused on developing a comprehensive government plan to promote Aliyah from countries where antisemitism is increasing. During the meeting, the prime minister instructed government ministries to immediately engage Jewish communities abroad to better understand what Israel must do to make such an initiative successful.
“During these days, as the world around us changes and antisemitism raises its head in ways we haven’t known, we in Israel are thinking of you more than ever,” the government message said.
In cooperation with the Jewish Agency for Israel and the World Zionist Organization, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration have launched a special survey aimed at Jews worldwide who are considering relocating to Israel. The survey is intended to identify obstacles, concerns, and incentives that could influence decisions about immigration.
“The State of Israel was established to be a safe home for every Jew, but we are aware that in the reality of 2026, the path home is filled with challenges,” the statement said. Officials emphasized that the goal is to remove barriers and facilitate Aliyah for those who wish to make the move this year.
Participation in the survey is anonymous and takes less than five minutes, according to the government. Officials say the feedback will help shape new policies, incentives, and support mechanisms designed to ease the immigration process.
“The State of Israel wants to hear your voice,” the announcement said, adding that understanding what matters most to potential immigrants during their deliberation process is essential to creating solutions that “will truly make a difference.”
The survey, accessible online, is part of a broader effort to strengthen ties with Jewish communities abroad and to position Israel as a secure and welcoming destination at a time of growing global uncertainty.
“Your voice matters to us. Your views will help us facilitate the Aliyah process,” the government said, urging Jews around the world to participate and help “build the bridge home.”
