The company was founded in 2016 by Shimon Elkabetz, Rei Goffer and Itai Zlotnik. It grew from a weather-data startup into a broader weather intelligence company, with its official company page listing all three founders.

Tomorrow.io is also developing proprietary satellite capabilities to expand weather observations, making space-based data a central part of the technology strategy it presents to customers.
