Large organizations often do not know exactly where sensitive or regulated data lives across cloud, SaaS and on-premise systems. BigID built a data discovery and intelligence platform to identify, classify and manage that data for privacy, security and governance, and its current platform also covers AI security and governance.

BigID was founded in 2016 by Dimitri Sirota and Nimrod Vax. The company reached unicorn status after a $70 million Series D led by Salesforce Ventures and Tiger Global, with participation from Glynn Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners and Boldstart Ventures. BigID’s current company resources also provide official leadership images and brand assets for media use.
