From Technion lab to hydrogen plant, H2Pro is scaling a different way to split water

H2Pro is commercializing Decoupled Water Electrolysis, a process developed at the Technion that separates the production of hydrogen and oxygen in time rather than relying on the membrane used in conventional electrolyzers.

H2Pro was co-founded in 2019 by Technion researchers Dr. Hen Dotan, Prof. Gideon Grader and Prof. Avner Rothschild together with entrepreneur Talmon Marco and his team. The company says Breakthrough Energy Ventures is its majority shareholder and that it is scaling the technology toward commercial and industrial deployment.
