Israeli fintech Datarails rolls out AI tool to curb contract and subscription waste

The new tool uses AI to track contracts, flag duplicate subscriptions and help finance teams cut costs amid growing software and vendor spending

Datarails, an Israeli financial software company, has launched a new artificial intelligence-powered tool designed to give finance teams centralized control over vendor contracts and subscriptions, as companies struggle with rising costs and fragmented financial data.
The company said its new product, called Spend Control, provides finance departments with a single view of contracts, renewals and payments, integrating directly with enterprise resource planning systems. The tool includes an AI agent that reviews contract terms, compares them with market alternatives and drafts renewal requests aimed at reducing costs.

The launch follows Datarails’ recent $70 million Series C funding round and the rollout of several AI-driven tools intended to place automation and analysis at the center of the chief financial officer’s office.
Businesses lose billions of dollars each year because of poor contract management, averaging about 9% of total contract value, according to a 2025 report by World Commerce & Contracting. Losses exceed 15% in more complex industries, the report said, noting that contract-related data is typically spread across more than 20 different systems, making it difficult to track commitments or make timely decisions.
As software subscriptions and vendor contracts proliferate across departments, many finance teams still rely on spreadsheets, emails and calendar reminders to manage renewals and payments. That approach often leads to duplicate tools, missed renewals and continued spending on subscriptions that are no longer needed or no longer aligned with approved budgets.
Datarails said Spend Control is designed to address those issues by consolidating contracts into a single hub with AI-driven data extraction, integrating with ERP systems to reconcile contract terms against actual payments, and flagging duplicate tools or upcoming renewals. The platform also provides dashboards and analytics, along with AI-generated recommendations and automated communication with vendors.
“Finance teams are losing millions to zombie subscriptions and duplicate tools because they don’t have a unified view of their vendor landscape,” said Didi Gurfinkel, co-founder and chief executive of Datarails. “Spend Control is meant to give CFOs the insights they need to turn spend management from a cost center into a strategic advantage.”
Founded in Israel, Datarails positions itself as an AI-native finance operating system, offering tools for financial planning and analysis, cash management, spend control and month-end close. The company said its platform allows finance teams to work within Excel while consolidating financial and operational data into a single system to support budgeting, forecasting and decision-making.
