Iran threatens strikes on major US tech companies, including Apple, Google, Microsoft

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says tech and AI firms tied to alleged operations will face retaliation; employees urged to leave workplaces and nearby residents told to evacuate

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned Tuesday that U.S. companies, including major tech firms, could be targeted in retaliation for what it described as ongoing “assassinations” carried out by the United States and its Israeli allies.
In a statement, the IRGC declared that “for every assassination, a U.S. company will be destroyed,” accusing Washington of ignoring repeated warnings to halt such operations.

The group said recent attacks had resulted in the deaths of several Iranian citizens and claimed that companies in the information and communications technology and artificial intelligence sectors play a central role in planning and executing such operations.
It described these firms as “legitimate targets” and urged employees at the named companies to leave their workplaces immediately for their own safety.
The IRGC also issued a broader warning to civilians, advising residents living within a one-kilometer radius of facilities linked to the companies to evacuate.
Among the firms listed were Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Dell, Palantir, Nvidia, JPMorgan, Tesla, General Electric, Spire Solutions, G42 and Boeing.
The statement said companies involved in what it called “terrorist planning” would face reciprocal action for each assassination incident.
It added that, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1, the named companies should expect retaliatory measures against their operations in response to any further incidents inside Iran.
