Singapore’s Changi Airport has been named the best airport in the world for 2025, according to the annual World Airport Awards by Skytrax, often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.” This marks the 13th time Changi has won the top title since the ranking started.
In addition to the overall title, Changi also took home awards for best airport dining experience, best public restrooms and best airport in Asia.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport, a three-time previous winner, ranked second in the 2025 list. It was also recognized for offering the world’s best airport shopping and was named the best airport in the Middle East.

Six Asian airports made it into the global top ten, with Japan securing two spots. Paris Charles de Gaulle came in seventh and was named the best airport in Europe for the third consecutive year. The airport’s Terminal 3 also earned the title of best low-cost terminal worldwide.
Tokyo Haneda ranked third and collected multiple awards, including the cleanest airport in the world (among large airports), best domestic airport and best facilities for passengers with disabilities or special needs.
Seoul’s Incheon Airport placed fourth and received the award for best airport staff worldwide, based on passenger feedback. Taiwan’s Taoyuan Airport won for best baggage delivery service.

Copenhagen Airport was recognized for best airport security screening, while Hong Kong International Airport received the award for best immigration service.
In the hotel category, Hilton Munich Airport was named best airport hotel in Europe.
Cape Town International Airport was the top performer in Africa, winning best airport and best airport staff service on the continent.
The Skytrax awards are based on surveys completed by travelers from over 100 countries between August 2024 and February 2025. The survey gauged customer satisfaction across key performance indicators including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration and boarding.
