Ingredients (4 servings):
- 800 g chicken wings
- ½ cup honey or silan (date syrup)
- 1 cup soy sauce
- For serving: 2 Tbsp chopped green onion
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Warm the honey or silan in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30 seconds (or heat gently in a small saucepan). Add the soy sauce and mix well.
- Arrange the chicken wings in a single, snug layer on the baking sheet and pour the sauce over them. Bake for about 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, flip the wings, and bake for another 20–25 minutes, until browned and crisp. If they’re still not crisp enough, flip again and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes. If the sauce evaporates too much during baking, add up to ¼ cup water.
- Transfer the wings to a serving plate without the remaining sauce (to keep them crisp). Sprinkle with green onion and serve.
Storage: Keeps for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
