For Daniel Bielak, that means trying to arrive in Israel as the best version of himself. He has taken on the 75 Hard challenge, committing to two daily workouts, a strict diet, a gallon of water, 10 pages of nonfiction and one progress photo every day for 75 days.
His main dietary sacrifice: the salty chips he admits he has been eating far too often.

Daniel says the goal is to arrive in Israel feeling stronger physically, mentally and spiritually. For now, his aliyah journey is being measured in workouts, books and a very large amount of water.
For Arielle Sabol, the move is part of a family story that began 45 years ago, when her mother left Israel and raised her in the United States with Hebrew as her first language.

Now, her mother is returning with Arielle, her husband Alex and their daughters, Romi and baby Libi. “Three generations, all moving home,” Arielle says.
The family also marks its last Fourth of July before becoming Israeli citizens. For Arielle and Alex, the move is largely about giving their daughters a childhood filled with community, Jewish holidays and a strong sense of belonging.
Danielle Adessky, meanwhile, has reached the least glamorous stage of aliyah: packing everything she owns, moving it into her parents’ house and then packing it all over again.

After renting out their home, Danielle and her boyfriend found themselves living among bags and boxes in her childhood bedroom while waiting for their flight.
“This is kind of a nightmare,” she admits. Still, with only two days remaining, the stress is giving way to excitement. “We’re all packed, which is kind of crazy,” she says. “Two more days and we’re in the Holy Land.”

Their journeys may look different, but all three are moving toward the same life-changing moment. They are all making Aliyah with the support of Nefesh B’Nefesh, in partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, The Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael, and Jewish National Fund-USA, and each one are taking another step toward calling Israel home.
