Gaza is the world's largest washing machine, and it broke down

Opinion: Past experience shows that the reconstruction funds are essentially 'protection' to keep the population quiet, and most of them will be used for terrorism; The solution is long-term, and we need to start from the ground up

The rehabilitation of Gaza is an enormous prize for terrorism and runs completely counter to the Israeli interest. Over the years, since the Palestinians have been there, Gaza has become the world’s largest washing machine. At first, it worked to the satisfaction of its Palestinian operators. They, together with the countries of jihadist Islam, with the help of the useful innocents from enlightened Western academia, never stopped laundering, blurring, concealing and whitewashing the monstrous industry of bloodshed, murder and killing produced there.
This washing machine was so excellent that even the victims of the Gazan killing machine, Israeli Jews, were persuaded that the laundry was as white as snow. The Palestinian lie industry, second only to the Iranians, convinced us that there is a political Hamas, which is essentially murderers in suits, and there is a military Hamas, which is murderers in uniform, and there are innocent-looking schools that are in fact also terrorist infrastructure and education for hatred of Jews. It nearly brought us to collapse, and clearly led the Western world to support the Palestinians.
But October 7, terrible as it was, caused the pristine, fragrant Gazan washing machine to break down for the first time in its history.

Israeli public opinion no longer believes them. Conservative centers of power in Europe, the United States, India and South America do not believe them either. Nor does the Board of Peace believe them. Gaza is what it truly is: a pile of foul laundry. Laundry stains of satanic crimes and monstrous acts committed against Jewish hostages before the eyes of cheering children, which no one will be able to scrub away or obscure. Many of the homes in Gaza were shafts leading to tunnels. Weapons depots were found in many of them. Many of the hospitals became command centers.
Gaza cannot be repaired. They brought this upon themselves. The Gaza model should be scrapped.

Not an Israeli interest

The chances that the real rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip will actually take shape are slim. There is no logic in investing astronomical sums for that purpose, in the range of $50 billion to $70 billion, in order to reestablish an entity whose only desire and purpose in rehabilitation will be one thing: harassing Israel and attempting to destroy it.
That would force Israel to strike the segment of the population made up of murderers and attackers, leading to harsh images, negative media coverage and, from there, the diplomatic and military weakening of Israel. That would again bring diplomatic pressure on us to rehabilitate Gaza against our will, and so on in an endless loop.
We have no interest in rebuilding Gaza, for a variety of reasons. Here are the main ones:
  • The “carrot and stick” method, and in this case only the carrot, has never proven itself with Gazans and has never prevented terrorist organizations from wanting to rearm and fight Israel again, or “merely” make its life miserable throughout the years.
  • The rehabilitation of Gaza is a prize for terrorism. A murderer who took part in the massacre and whose home was destroyed? No matter. He will receive a new home wrapped in cellophane. And not at his own expense, but with international funding.
  • Past experience shows that rehabilitation funds are essentially “protection money” to keep the population quiet, most of which will be used for the renewed military strengthening of the terrorist organizations and will encourage natural population growth to the point of overpopulation, which Israel will have to confront.
  • For a large portion of Gaza’s population, the center of life is the war against Israel. They chose Hamas, whose founding manifesto is the destruction of Israel. They never set themselves the goal of becoming an economically successful entity that stands on its own, let alone a scientific or cultural success. History finds proof of this as far back as the fedayeen period in the 1950s, long before the capture of the strip in our defensive war in 1967.
These facts explain why most Gazans remained supporters of Hamas or any other murderous organization that opposes Israel and basic moral rules, even in their internal interpersonal conduct. See how the murderers of the Palestinian Authority were thrown alive from rooftops into the street by their murderous Hamas brothers.
According to public opinion polls from Gaza, most Gazans supported the October 7 massacre. That is why they willingly fulfill their role as the spearhead of the countries in the region hostile to Israel. History shows that, for these countries, they serve as lethal and successful weapons against Israel. There is no pan-Arab sentiment toward them. For the confrontation states, the Palestinians serve as a proxy for the destruction of Israel. On October 7, they nearly succeeded.

Therefore, the confrontation states against Israel, led by Qatar and Egypt, want and need the Gazans in a state of perpetual chaos. The terrible chaos in Gaza creates the justification for world support for the Palestinians and produces the rational geopolitical reason why they are permitted to massacre and murder Jews. A never-ending vicious circle.
Therefore, to ensure the existing situation, so that heaven forbid no one succeeds in removing them from Gaza, Egypt built between itself and the Gazans a formidable, impassable fence. From the Egyptians’ standpoint, their hidden reference scenario is apparently war against Israel, or at least bleeding it constantly and damaging its standing in the world. This is the preferred situation: Palestinians imprisoned without the ability to leave, and let Israel choke.
Therefore, Israel must remove responsibility from itself and make clear that the problem in Gaza is, first and foremost, an ideological infrastructure that seeks to destroy Israel. Gazans, exactly like their brothers in the Palestinian Authority, are exposed from a young age to hatred of Jews. In children’s books, on posters in rooms, in kindergartens and schools, Jews are monsters who must be killed.
Therefore, we believe the solution is long term. It must address the foundation: the ideological and faith-based infrastructure of the Gazans, which must be rehabilitated to liberal Western standards long before the physical infrastructure is built. The world must be made to understand that billions should not be invested in Gaza as long as that ideological infrastructure exists there.

Migration and relocation

It is clear to all that the chaotic situation in Gaza, which was created because of them, will remain that way for many years. No reeducation toward values of peace will succeed there. Rehabilitation funds, which have not even been promised yet, will be delayed and reduced because the Gulf states and Saudi Arabia have found themselves, against the backdrop of the Iran war, in an unfavorable economic situation.

Therefore, in our assessment, most Gazans would be happy to leave this hellish wasteland and relocate. It is even morally right to help them do so. Opening the crossings to Egypt for passage to other countries is something that must be insisted upon. If the Egyptians insist, we must insist on allowing any Gazan who wishes to do so to leave voluntarily by air or sea.
Israel must establish a financial fund to assist countries that voluntarily accept Palestinians who leave voluntarily. But above all, it must reengage President Trump, who with common sense declared that there is no future for Palestinians in Gaza. Israel must decide that the talks with the Board of Peace and the disarmament of Hamas must provide Palestinians with a horizon and a vision of existence. The data we have written about show that remaining in Gaza will bring them death, oblivion and despair. The washing machine that broke down will no longer be able to launder. Let the Palestinians go despair somewhere else.
