Fattal Hotel Group has announced plans to open 12 new hotels in Israel by the end of 2030, adding more than 2,000 rooms. The planned projects include luxury and boutique hotels in Tel Aviv and Eilat, new hotels in Jerusalem, a water park at the Dead Sea and a villa complex on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. The chain presented its plans Tuesday evening at an event held at THE YACHT Herzliya Marina hotel.
According to the updated schedule provided to ynet, the first three hotels are expected to open in 2027: the Palatin Hotel in Tel Aviv in March, the Lilinblum Hotel in Tel Aviv in April and the NYX Hotel in Jerusalem in June.
Three more hotels are scheduled to open in 2028: the Herbert Samuel Hotel in Jerusalem in September, followed by the NYX Hotel at the Dead Sea and the luxury Adom Hotel in Eilat in December.
Four hotels are expected to open in 2029: the Abra Hotel at the Dead Sea in January, the Ein Gev Hotel on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in April, the Ron Hotel in Jerusalem in July and the Leonardo Boutique Eilat in December.
The expansion is set to conclude in 2030 with two additional hotels: Gat Rimon in Tel Aviv, scheduled to open in July, and Beit Alliance in Jerusalem, expected to open in December.
Among the most notable projects is the NYX Hotel at the Dead Sea, which will feature an adjacent new water park. Another major development is the luxury Ein Gev Hotel, which will include approximately 120 villas, some with private pools overlooking the Sea of Galilee. The complex will also feature a spa, health club and indoor swimming pool.
Two new hotels are planned for Eilat: the luxury Adom Hotel, which will feature a rooftop pool overlooking the Red Sea and the Eilat Mountains, and the Leonardo Boutique Hotel, which will have approximately 142 rooms, more than 50 of them with private pools. The Palatin Hotel in Tel Aviv is also expected to feature a restaurant operated by the KI-SU Group.
Alongside the construction of new hotels, Fattal is investing hundreds of millions of shekels in renovating and upgrading existing properties. Hotels undergoing renovations include Leonardo Plaza City Tower, Leonardo Plaza Haifa, Leonardo Plaza Kinneret (formerly Leonardo Plaza Tiberias), Leonardo Plaza Dead Sea, Leonardo Plaza Jerusalem, Club Dead Sea, Herods Boutique Eilat, Leonardo Negev and Leonardo Plaza Ashdod.
Nadav Fattal, the chain's co-CEO, said at the event: "Even during the challenging years the tourism industry has faced, we did not halt our development plans. We continued investing hundreds of millions of shekels in renovating existing hotels and developing new ones, driven by our confidence in the future of Israeli tourism."
In addition to its development plans, Fattal presented its two hotel collections at the event, each offering a different hospitality experience: Fattal Limited Edition, which focuses on luxury hotels where the property itself is the centerpiece of the vacation, and Fattal Colors, which brings together urban boutique hotels.
The Limited Edition collection currently includes The Yacht in Herzliya, The Jaffa in Jaffa, Canaan Hotel in Safed and Botanica Hotel in Haifa. Beyond their rooms and facilities, these properties emphasize restaurants, spas, design and art. The Palatin Hotel in Tel Aviv is also expected to join the collection.
The Colors collection focuses on boutique hotels located near entertainment districts, restaurants and cultural attractions. It includes Bazaar in Jaffa, Nucha in Jerusalem and Bachar House, Nordoy, Sam & Blondi, Rothschild 22 and Hotel RECEPTION in Tel Aviv.
One of the collection's defining features is its connection to city life. Breakfast is served in the hotels' restaurants, which are also open to the general public, rather than in traditional hotel dining rooms.
According to Maya Shalev, the chain's vice president of marketing and sales, the division into two collections is designed to cater to different vacation preferences: guests who want the hotel itself to be the main attraction and those who prefer to venture out and explore the city.
The chain is also expanding the range of activities available to guests, including live performances, lectures, wine tastings, workshops, yoga classes and spa treatments.
According to company figures, Fattal Group currently operates or is developing 332 hotels across 22 countries, with more than 59,000 rooms. In Israel, the chain has approximately 64 hotels, including 49 currently operating and 15 under development.
