A few days after arriving in Mexico City as part of her international tour, Israeli singer Noga Erez revealed that she faced violent incidents and threats from protesters opposed to her performance. She said demonstrators targeted her team and the local audience attending the show.
“My sold-out American Tour ended two days ago in beautiful Mexico City,” Erez wrote. “Before the show, I received hundreds of comments, messages, and dark, violent threats warning me to cancel the show or else terrible things would happen. My audience and the club staff had to face acts of violence from protesters outside the venue.”
“While I fully respect freedom of speech and expression,” she added, “these people know NOTHING about me or what I’m about. To all the beautiful souls who showed up, I’m truly sorry you had to go through this. You don’t deserve it. No one does.”
Despite the threats and tension, Erez said the concert was one of the best performances of her career. “Gracias, Mexico, for being so passionate, wild and generous,” she said, closing her message in Spanish: “Te quiero mucho, mucho, mucho” — “I love you very, very, very much.”
Alongside photos from the tour, Erez also shared an image of graffiti depicting her face with the word “Criminal” sprayed beside it.

The Mexico City concert marked the final U.S. tour stop for Erez’s third album, The Vandalist. She is scheduled to perform across Europe in the coming month.
Erez, widely regarded as one of Israel’s most compelling musical voices, has enjoyed international success for years. Her latest album includes a collaboration with British pop star Robbie Williams. The tour continues amid the cultural boycott movement and lingering global tensions following the Israel-Hamas war, which have significantly impacted Israel’s arts and music industries.
