Gadot, currently in Israel after attending the Jerusalem Film Festival as a special guest to receive an honorary award, continued: “This is a kind of strength I truly admire. Each of you. Each of you touched my heart deeply. I spent real time with each one of you and you pierced my soul. Really. And I’m so happy I could now, in some way, find closure for myself — because I never get the chance.”

In her remarks, the "Wonder Woman" film star also acknowledged the ongoing efforts to bring the remaining hostages home. “We're not talking about the darkness, the hard and challenging moments — and I have no doubt there were many — but know this: you are an inspiration, and you are strength," she said. "Never give up. Is there anything else I can do for you?”
“Keep talking about them, keep them in the public’s awareness — that’s the most important thing,” replied Steinbrecher. “Just keep talking. Don’t stop.”
