Hollywood star Gal Gadot met on Tuesday with several Israeli women who had survived captivity in Gaza — Doron Steinbrecher, Naama Levy, Liri Albag, Moran Stela Yanai, and Ilana Gritzewsky — and told them of her deep admiration for their strength and unbreakable spirit, both during their time in captivity and since their return.

“You are amazing, every single one of you. I can't believe how you did it,” Gadot said emotionally while sitting with the women. “And you did it. And you’re here. And you keep going, and you push forward, and you fight for others. You have no idea how incredible you are.”
Gadot, currently in Israel after attending the Jerusalem Film Festival as a special guest to receive an honorary award, continued: “This is a kind of strength I truly admire. Each of you. Each of you touched my heart deeply. I spent real time with each one of you and you pierced my soul. Really. And I’m so happy I could now, in some way, find closure for myself — because I never get the chance.”

In her remarks, the "Wonder Woman" film star also acknowledged the ongoing efforts to bring the remaining hostages home. “We're not talking about the darkness, the hard and challenging moments — and I have no doubt there were many — but know this: you are an inspiration, and you are strength," she said. "Never give up. Is there anything else I can do for you?”
“Keep talking about them, keep them in the public’s awareness — that’s the most important thing,” replied Steinbrecher. “Just keep talking. Don’t stop.”
