A week after the funeral of Shiri Bibas and her children Ariel and Kfir, who were returned to Israel after their murder in captivity and buried in Israel, the metal songs Yarden Bibas chose to play at their funeral have topped the viral song list in Israel, according to Spotify.
Hundreds gathered to bid farewell to Shiri and the children and to support Yarden Bibas, who, after delivering a personal eulogy, chose to dedicate three songs: “Roman Sky” for Shiri and “I Thank You Child” for Ariel and Kfir. Following the ceremony, another song, “Hold on the Memories," was played.

A week after the funeral, the three songs remain at the top of Spotify's viral chart, which ranks the 50 most viral songs in Israel. The ranking is based on a mix of shares, search frequency and team selections.
“I Thank You Child” by musician Zakk Wylde, which Yarden dedicated to Ariel and Kfir, took first place. The lyrics resonate with those who have lost loved ones: "Comfort in your eyes / Warmth inside your smile / Faith’s done gone astray / It was you who made living all worth a while / I thank you, my child.”

“Roman Sky” by the American metal band Avenged Sevenfold, ranked second. The band, which previously performed in Israel, released the song in 2016 as part of their album “The Stage.” Its lyrics reflect a painful farewell: "Though they took your voice, your words forever shine / Just before you go, tell us how the heavens flow."
“Hold on the Memories” by the American metal band Disturbed, whose lead singer David Draiman is Jewish and has performed in Israel several times, came in fourth.
The song's lyrics echo a powerful message: "Make the most of the rest of your life, we're never really gone as long as there's a memory in your mind / Hold on the memories to keep them / Hold on to every moment to keep them alive / The world's greatest tragedy, souls who are not remembered cannot survive.”
Draiman sent a video message to Yarden, expressing his condolences and support: "Dear Yarden, hello my brother. I am so sorry for your loss. The entire people of Israel weep with you today. Hold on to the memories of your family. Hold on to the memories of your children and your beloved wife. We will all do this. They will remain in our memory. May the memories of your children and your beloved wife be a blessing to you, always. Am Israel Chai. Be strong.”
