The simplest no-fuss matzo ball recipe for busy cooks

  • 1 cup matzo flour
  • 1 cup Passover cake flour
  • 1 cup potato starch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup hot water

  1. Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well until you get a uniform dough.
  2. Place the dough in the refrigerator for an hour.
  3. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, moisten your hands (to prevent the dough from sticking to them), and form small balls.
  4. Boil a pot of water with two tablespoons of salt.
  5. Cook the matzo balls for 2 minutes until they float.
  6. Strain, and serve in soup.
