European powers launch snapback mechanism to restore sanctions against Iran
Europe is increasing pressure on the Islamic Republic, after nuclear talks that ended without results: Britain, France and Germany announced the activation of the snapback, the mechanism that will restore international sanctions, which were suspended with the nuclear agreement in 2015; The Security Council is now required to approve within 30 days a decision to extend the concessions granted to Iran; If it does not approve such a decision, severe sanctions will be imposed on Tehran.
